Cycling to Celebrate 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi in Hong Kong

Government of India has decided to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, at national and international level to propagate his message. A National Committee (NC) headed by Hon’ble President of India has been constituted for this purpose. This Committee includes Hon’ble Vice-President, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Chief Ministers of all states of the country, representatives from across the political spectrum, Gandhians, thinkers, and eminent persons from all walks of life.

To support the government’s noble initiative of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi, the Consulate General of India in Hong Kong and Macau has planned a series events to mark 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Hong Kong in 2018 and 2019.

Cycling to Celebrate‘ 150th years of Mahatma Gandhi is part of the initiative. Mr. Kirit Doshi and volunteers of Shrimad Rajchandra Mission, Dharampur and Consulate General of India to Hong Kong and Macau organized this event successfully.

Mrs. Purviz R Shroff and late Mr. Rusy M Shroff, BBS, MBE sponsored the event.

There was an overwhelming response to the event as many kids along with their parents had enthusiastically participated in the event.
