Spectator Index rape data shocks as it puts many western countries ahead of India

The Spectator Index publishes data on politics, economics, history, military affairs, sports, science and technology.

The Spectator Index published the data on rape per 100,000 people today. It is shocking as the result is opposite to what Western and Indian media have been projecting about India in last five years.

As per the data, South Africa leads the crime rate and tops the list with 132 rapes per 100,000 that is followed by Sweden, Australia, US, Norway, UK, France etc. While India is projected at 15th place with 1.8 rape per 100,000 people, which has significant gap between South Africa and India crime rate.
