Wipro’s bags $1.5 billion deal from US company

Wipro has bagged a $1.5-billion, 10-year deal from Illinois-based company, Alight Solutions. This deal boosted company’s moral as it waited for nearly 4 years for a big break. The last billion plus deal took place in 2014.

Wipro said, “the engagement will enable digital transformation of Alight’s offerings across health, wealth, HR and finance. and it will enhance the employee experience of Alight’s clients by leveraging Wipro’s strengths in cognitive automation and data analytics,”

While explaining about how Wipro would facilitate the overall operation, the CEO Neemuchwala said, “we will leverage this expertise to digitize and modernize Alight’s core across platforms and modernize Alight’s core across platforms, technologies and operations.”
